Nickerson-Rossi Dance is seeking dancers for our beautiful new theater in West Chester, PA, and possible performance opportunities with our west coast division.

ABOUT
Nickerson_Rossi Dance is a dance company enriched with beautiful choreography, technically brilliance, and physically vigorous artists to uphold the stimulating aesthetics of the repertoire. 

Artistic Director, Michael Nickerson-Rossi will be holding a one-day workshop/audition. In Michael's class you can expect : An athletic release technique fostered by gravity allowing the dancer to experience various levels of space and momentum. Participates will be encouraged to investigate through an expansion of movement that incorporates precision, fluidity and form, subtlety and bigness, that engages the dancers intention. Micheal is also creative director of dance and founder of Palm Springs Dance Festival and recently named the creative director of dance at the Uptown Theater in West Chester, PA. Nickerson-Rossi Dance work has been seen in San Diego, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Tempe, Miami Beach, Palm Springs, Philadelphia, Massachusetts, Los Angeles, New York and Belize. Nickerson-Rossi Dance is grateful for the company’s bicoastal/international recognition and the opportunity to teach master classes in universities, professional companies, and studios throughout the west and east coasts.

The evening's program includes a contemporary dance and partnering technique class, NDC repertoire and compositional development (Audition), an informal presentation by Nickson-Rossi Dance and selected dancers, and a Q&A. Micheal will personally select dancers who are able to successfully learn material at a professional level. If selected, you may be asked to dance in the informal presentation at 8:30 p.m. the same day. Dancers are encouraged to attend FULL workshop. Attending only the rep./comp. does NOT secure a performance at the presentation.

6:30 – 8:00 Repertoire, Composition, Audition 
8:30 – 9:15 Performance presentation

Fees:
Full Day – $60
Repertoire, Composition, Audition (only) – $25
Performance presentation, Q&A (only) – $15 general, $10 senior/students

Note: Dancers are encouraged to attend FULL workshop. Attending just the rep/comp portion does NOT secure them a performance at the presentation. Mr. Nickerson-Rossi will hand select those who he feels will able to successfully learn the material at a professional level.
