Who we’re looking for…

New York Theatre Ballet is currently seeking a Wardrobe Intern to assist with all wardrobe related work.

About the role…

Reporting to the Wardrobe Manager, the Wardrobe Intern will assist in facilitating wardrobe logistics for all NYTB productions.

What’s expected…

Sewing skills: basic skills necessary. An interest in developing a greater skill level required. 
Organizing costume inventory
Labeling costumes and accessories
Sourcing, shopping, purchasing any costume construction/repair materials
Updating and managing expense reports
Good understanding of garment construction
Basic machine sewing skills
Hand sewing skills
Pre production responsibilities including repairs and labeling
Measuring dancers and organizing dancer charts
Assisting with costume fittings
Post production responsibilities including laundering and storing costumes

The deal…

Work approximately 4 hours weekly (from September 9th, 2016 through May 15, 2017), schedule flexible, will be discussed and set with the candidate.
