Calpulli Mexican Dance Company seeks Male and Female Dancers for paid performances during its Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 seasons both locally and national travel.  Additional paid arts-in-education work and performances are also available. The audition will be held at City Center Studios in Manhattan on Friday, Sept 9th @ 7pm. Specifically, the company seeks the following:

- Ideally: Men and Women who have Mexican folk dance training and performance experience with fundamentals in ballet or contemporary movement

- Men and Women with footwork experience, classical or contemporary training AND are interested in performing Mexican dances that range from folk to contemporary in style.

- Men and Women with folk dance experience

The entrance is on 56th St. Please do not enter via the NY CIty Center main entrance on 55th St.

Studio opens: 7:00pm

Audition begins promptly at 7:10pm

Auditioners should bring a headshot, resume and folklorico/ flamenco/ character shoes (something to tap and stomp). Women, rehearsal skirt is optional but will be used if you bring it.
