i KADA Contemporary Dance Company is looking for (1 male and 2 female) dancers for the 6th annual show. 

"Message to the youth!!" 

This year, i KADA Dance will be having youth that have dance training, to participate in a series of weekend workshops, and after the workshop, the students will come together with the i KADA Contemporary Dance Company for the 6th annual show and perform alongside the professional dancers. In allowing youth to participate in this show, they will not only be getting great professional exposure to the world of dance but also be giving back to kids just like them. We will be making a short film and the film will be using for i KADA Dance presents KoDaFe in NYC International Dance Festival 2017;

"Message to the youth". This is not just a onetime event. i KADA Dance youth program will dedicate and help build our future through working with kids all over NYC. This will lead to the proceeds of the shows and festivals being donated to various charitable youth organizations in NYC. These organizations serve NYC kids who are not as fortunate, in providing them with shelter, daily nutrition and a safe haven to just be.

How to apply:

Please email your resume, pictures and links to your dance videos to ikadadance@gmail.com by September 24th. We only accept videos, reels, or any other recorded material as a substitute for the audition. We are not holding auditions at this time.

Rehearsals:

We will have 6-8 rehearsals in Oct & Nov and 5 rehearsals &Run-through in Dec. Each rehearsal will be 2 hours. Our rehearsal will be every Tuesday from 8-10 and Sat & Sun afternoon or evening (4-6 or 6-8pm) but eveyone won't have to come to all three days; 2 days max. 

   - We will have 5-6 dance pieces

   - Each dancer will be joining different dance pieces

   - Each dancer will be paid $100/ dance piece

   - No rehearsal pay.

i KADA Youth workshop:

This will take place over a month span on weekend, November 12-27, 2016, on Saturdays and Sundays of November. If possible, please let us know if you will be able to volunteer to help throughout the workshop!
