Associate Director for Exhibition and Public Program Administration - Library for the Performing Arts
The Library for the Performing Arts is seeking a Associate Director for Exhibition and Public Program Administration to manage the logistics of it’s free exhibitions and provide support for LPA’s public programs. The Associate Director plays a key role in the development and implementation of LPA’s vision and goals for public engagement. The Associate Director joins a senior management team dedicated to making LPA an exciting and vital cultural resource for arts enthusiasts and performing arts communities worldwide. The Associate Director collaborates with necessary Library staff, guest curators, professional colleagues, interns, volunteers, exhibition and program partners, and hourly workers to produce successful results. Providing the driving force that will successfully showcase LPA’s collections, the Associate Director functions as chief project manager, research and plan exhibitions, provides support for the public programs managers, oversees exhibition finances and budgets, and fosters and manages partnerships with other museums and cultural institutions.
LPA is looking for a resourceful, organized, and dynamic person to manage the logistics and provide support for LPA’s free exhibitions and public programs. The ideal candidate must have a passion and the vision for creating an environment of teamwork that embraces innovation and artistic achievement. S/he must possess effective management skills and experience, and be knowledgeable about the administrative and programmatic elements that produce world-class exhibitions and public programs.
