Auditioning Dancers who can Sing for We Shall Not be Moved

OPERA PHILADELPHIA  is looking for experienced contemporary dancers who can sing to audition for roles its 2017/18 season production of We Shall Not Be Moved, directed by Bill T. Jones. 

Must have strong urban dance experience (ex. hip-hop, breakdance, steppin’, vogue-ing, and/or Flex’n). Contemporary modern dance training a plus, but not required. Should be creative and work well in a group. Looking for dancers who can also sing (ex. vernacular, R&B, pop and/or legit Broadway experience), but do NOT need operatic training. Casting two men and one woman, ages 16 to 30. Primarily seeking dancers of color (African American, Latino, Asian, Non-Caucasian). 

Audition Date: 12/13/16

Location: TBD in NYC
