Monteleone Dance Lab
As part of his long-term chapter of work, “Liquid Fragile Perishable Potentially Patterned”, Joe Monteleone will be hosting a series of creative incubator workshops that catalyze psychosomatic investigations of complex multivalent concepts and research systems in dance. In this atmosphere, studio work is approached as an “exit” rather than an “entrance”. Dancers will interface with Joe’s unique (non) method and movement vocabulary, exploring various movement related topics including:
-geometric design
-habit motion
-mimetic networks, copying, trends
-conceptual worlds
-objective versus subjective participation
-viewership
-play/improvisation
-types of logic
-dialect
-chronology, cause and effect
-polarity and rhythm
The first two are scheduled 12/11/16 8-10pm and 12/18/16 8-10pm
Both will be held in Manhattan
