Call for Choreographers (Short Works; 15min & under)

Sans Limites Dance Dancer: Susanne McHugh

Rooted in the belief that dance should be accessible to all, Sans Limites Dance endeavors to present works that elicit a visceral response from audience members by producing the works of innovative emerging, mid-career and established movement artists.

We are NOW ACCEPTING SHORT WORK (4min – 15min) APPLICATIONS from artists who want their work produced in the Sans Limites Dance Spring Season 2017 from June 1st – 4th at the Elliott Center’s Hudson Guild Theater (441 W26th St.) – a grand, but intimate 99-seat proscenium arch performance venue in Chelsea, Manhattan.

Inspired by the Duncan quote “You were once wild here, don’t let them tame you”, Sans Limites Dance welcomes movement artists that have created/are creating works that are innovative, rebellious, and non-conformist; expanding and contributing to the ever-evolving form of Modern Dance. Priority will go to proposals and works-in-progress that highlight themes, culture and events of contemporary times (NOW) through unique choreographic visions; ranging from highly technical/athletic to works daring in their simplicity.

If accepted, movement and dance artists will receive:

Performance Publicity, Box Office/Ticket Sales Service, Technical Rehearsal with Professional Light Designer & Stage Manager, 1 FORMAL Performance at the Hudson Guild Theater, AND 20% of Ticket Sales ($10 for every pre-sold ticket sale)

*If selected, the production fee is $200. For your financial convenience, this fee 2 or 4 installment payment plan.*
