David Dorfman Dance is seeking a part-time Fundraising and Administrative Coordinator to assist our Artistic Director and Company Manager in achieving our goals as we enter our 30th Anniversary Season with a New York City premiere of our newest work, Aroundtown. While this is an entry level position, we hope to find a candidate who will grow with the organization, taking on a leadership role around fundraising, particularly individual cultivation, in the near future.  

The Fundraising and Administrative Coordinator’s responsibilities will include:

Managing and updating the Artful.ly database;

Assisting our Fundraising Consultant with grant writing and management;

Coordination of individual giving programs, including assisting with fundraising events and crowdsourcing campaigns, with the support of our Fundraising Consultant;

Assisting our Company Manager with tasks as needed, including workshops, intensives, residencies, and administrative.

The position is 8 to 10 hours/week as needed, at an hourly rate of $12/hour. This position is mainly a remote position, with meetings as needed with New York City-based staff.

Applicants should have experience with the dance community, professional writing skills, organizational skills, and, ideally, experience coordinating events and/or performances.
