Fusionworks Dance Company invites choreographers to submit their work to NECF 2017. The Nationally Emerging Choreographers Festival (formerly Northeast Choreographers Festival) will be presented in November of 2017 in Providence, RI.  This year’s festival will showcase the works of at least two emerging and/or established choreographers from across the U.S.

Finalists will be paid a $1,000 stipend to do a five day residency in either July, August or September, during which they will set their work on Fusionworks Dance Company.  All chosen artists will also teach a master class open to the community. Housing and rides to and from the airport or bus/train station will be provided by Fusionworks Dance Company for finalists. All invited choreographers are required to promote the project and to encourage community support.

*A video link or DVD of a finished work (must be between 8-15 minutes and not require more than 5 dancers – priority will be given to dances with four or less dancers). No edits with the dance clearly visible at all times. A studio filming may be submitted as long as the dance is clear throughout.
*A brief written description of your work and where it has been presented.
*A biography or resume
*Links to all social media platforms where your work is represented, such as Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter, or Instagram.
*A $25 submission fee. Can be paid by check (made out to Fusionworks Dance Company) or online at: www.fusionworksdance.org/ne-choreographers-festival.html

Incomplete materials or those exceeding the Festival time limits will not be processed.

Multiple submissions may be submitted using separate application and $25 submission fee.

Deadline for submissions is March 1, 2017.  Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered. Notices will be sent out by April 15, 2017.
