Illusionist Ryan Dutcher is currently seeking additional female magician's assistants for our New York- Dutchess County based professional team. This will be a paid part-time, on-call position and may or may not lead to full-time work.

The ideal candidate is flexible in both schedule and attitude. It is not required but suggested the candidate reside in or near the NY Dutchess County area.

The Ideal candidate must be able to perform live onstage and in front of a camera, and must fit inside the established properties of the act; must be between 5'0"-5'7" tall, must be at least 21 years of age, not claustrophobic, not afraid of heights, crowds, fire, water, or being on stage. Background in dance, gymnastics, musical theater, improv, and/or comedy is a plus; candidates must be fit, healthy, and physically suited for movement and performance; candidates must also be willing to load/unload/help construct props and sign a confidentiality agreement with the magician.

Dance Experience a MUST (Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theater, Hip Hop, Modern, Lyrical))

Tours and International travel may be involved.

This performer should be able to take direction as well as collaborate. We are looking for someone outgoing, and charismatic. Not just the stereo-typical magicians assistant. Beautiful, but with unique character a plus. You will assist with the magic on stage and backstage. Your ability to create “moments” on stage is key.

Prior Magic knowledge a + but not required

Compensation is competitive and is determined on a per performance basis. Compensation may vary per performance, but will always be agreed upon by both parties.
