Seeking dancers for two nights of performance as part of Green Space's Take Root Series. Dancers will be learning and collaboratively expanding upon an existing piece of repertory that was performed at Triskelion in September, 2016 as part of the Split Bill series. Excerpt from Pitch Dark no. 1 (a breakdown) creates a world of chance encounters and simmering frustration. It investigates the impossibility of ever fully breaking emotional patterns, as the past reasserts itself.  

Performances are June 9 and 10 with a tech rehearsal on June 8.

Rehearsals are unpaid and are on the following dates:

I am seeking two or three people for this performance. You should be a highly technical contemporary dancer who's comfortable with floor work, as well as a skilled improviser.  

If you're interested, please email an improvisation video to thebunkernyc@gmail.com. In lieu of a formal audition, select dancers will be invited to attend an upcoming rehearsal/workshop on Sunday, March 19 at 8pm. Because I'm unable to offer rehearsal pay it's very important to me that all people involved with this project are genuinely interested in it, and feel their time and contributions are respected. Ideally this rehearsal/workshop will help us all get to know one another and determine if we would be positive collaborators.
