Ensemble-based Stage Manager, Big Dance Theater
Big Dance Theater seeks a highly qualified professional embedded/ensemble-based stage manager interested in process and development of new work, to oversee the daily running of its upcoming new production premiere and touring.
Stage manager will be responsible for overseeing the complex nature of running the rehearsal room, includingly set up and tracking; working with Artistic Directors and Executive Director/Producer to establish a work plan and daily schedules; tracking script changes; overseeing production interns; and ultimately overseeing the load in and running/calling of the show.
The Stage Manager will work alongside the Executive Director/Producer and Technical Director/Production Manager to guarantee the success of each work period and tour venue from a logistical/communications/personnel perspective, will oversee, supervise and work load in and strike in tandem with TD/PM, and will ensure that updates from the rehearsal room are delivered to production designers in rehearsal reports and direct correspondence as efficiently as possible.
Traditional stage management role requirements where not explicitly listed will also be expected (taping out the blueprint of work space, calling breaks, sending out daily call sheets for next work day, etc).

Compensation: guarantee of $850/wk, plus single housing, r/t transporation and $40/day per diem for any work period outside of NYC
