Battery Dance's 2017 Battery Dance Festival is quickly approaching! The Festival will be August 13-18th, 7:00-9:00pm at Robert F. Wagner, Jr. Park in downtown Manhattan with a Closing performance at Pace University’s Schimmel Center on August 19th. Our Festival is the longest-running, free public dance festival in New York City and features dance companies from around the world. We are expecting a large turnout and a beautiful week of dance!

Volunteers are needed at the festival to help with daily production set-up, host entrance tables, greet audience members and hand-out playbills. In addition, volunteers are needed to help with artist management and activities related to our closing event on August 19th. If you are interested in helping out, please let us know. Benefits include free dance performances in a beautiful park, gaining experience in dance production, taking part in the downtown dance community and making new friends and connections!

Schedule will depend upon your availability as we can offer different range of activities and tasks. Shifts will be 2:00-6:00pm and 6:00-10:00pm. However, we appreciate if volunteers are available to stay after performances. You DO NOT have to volunteer every night, just the night(s) you are available.

Volunteers should be at least 18 years old

Battery Dance greatly appreciates your commitment and help with our 2017 Festival and we look forward to working with you!
