Liberty Hall Dance Festival

Buggé Ballet and Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University join forces for the premier Liberty Hall Dance Festival on Saturday, September 16th from 1-4pm. Applications are now open to be part of this exciting new festival!

Liberty Hall Dance Festival welcomes historically inspired performances in any genre of dance. Each piece will be performed twice at one of nine site specific performance locations across the beautiful museum grounds. Choreographers are invited to submit one piece, up to 10 minutes, for consideration. Both professional dance companies and pre-professional dance programs are welcome to apply. Additionally, choreographers and/or performers have the opportunity to teach a 30 minute movement lesson relating to dance in the late 18th to 20th centuries.

All accepted pieces, choreographers and performers, will be required to attend the performance on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 1-4pm and be available on the rain date of Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 1-4pm. Tech rehearsal will be during the morning of the performance. The Liberty Hall Museum in Union, New Jersey is easily accessible from NYC, just three train stops away.

A non-refundable application fee of $12 is due at the time of applying. All applications are due by Thursday, June 22 at midnight.
