Flamenco Vivo and The Center for Flamenco Arts are pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for the 2017 Flamenco Certamen USA.  The only competition of its kind in the United States, the Flamenco Certamen provides a spotlight for emerging talent while fostering the continued development and exposure of the flamenco art form.  Eligible applicants will be pre-professional flamenco dancers with strong tecnique, musicality and experience working with live music.  From the applicant pool, up to 10 Finalists will be chosen to compete for cash and other prizes on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts.  Chosen Finalists will receive free studio space, mentorship and a practice session with live music.  For more infomation visit http://www.flamenco-vivo.org/ny-flamenco-certamen
