New Ballet Ensemble & School (NBE) in Memphis, TN is seeking versatile performing & teaching artists for full-time positions on 36- to 40-week contracts, August 2017-May 2018. NBE offers an after-school studio training program plus classes in schools & community locations. Successful applicants will be qualified to teach ballet, Horton, Graham and other American dance forms. Versatility and the ability to execute and teach partnering are highly valued. NBE artists perform alongside students in 3-4 major productions per season plus school shows and special appearances. All feature New Ballet’s innovative blend of classical & contemporary ballet, flamenco, hip-hop, West African dance & drumming and Memphis Jookin (not all styles required). 

NBE welcomes diverse applicants – those with BFA or BA degrees in dance; ABT or Ailey certifications; and highly experienced individuals with proven teaching and performance skills, without degrees. New Ballet is a mission-driven organization bringing together students from diverse backgrounds, providing high-quality dance training regardless of the ability to pay. We seek Performers-Teachers who can embrace our mission and who love to dance and teach.
