Educational Outreach in Guatemala

Share your passion and make a difference. Dance as a global community. A Broader View

Calling All Teachers and Artists:

SPDance would like to invite you to The Chance to Dance, an educational outreach program where dancers and dance educators share their passion and knowledge with communities that would not be able to receive this opportunity otherwise.

Our first program takes place October 28th-November 4th 2017 in Quetzaltenago, Guatemala at a Woman and Children’s Center.

All volunteers will help in the creation and development of a unique dance/body care educational curriculum, specific to the needs of the community, as well as teaching on site at the location. If this seems like something of interest, please reach out via email at suzponomarenko.dance@gmail.com. Include a resume, a short bio and why you are interested in this opportunity. Space is limited. Reserve by August 15th!

If you are unable to participate, but would still like to be involved, we are interested in hearing from you. Please reach out and we would love to involve you in any capacity possible for this trip, other future dates, or in our ongoing Senior Care Project, which brings live dance performance to NYC Nursing Homes.
