Alison Cook Beatty Dance was founded in 2012. The company is a classically based modern dance company exploring the universal human condition through expansive and emotionally driven movement grounded in American modern dance. The healing and transformational power of the arts inspires the company to work with diverse groups within the community, in addition to collaborative efforts with other artists. Core to the mission of the company is community outreach. The healing and transformation power of the arts inspires Alison Cook Beatty Dance to work within the community to bring dance and art and a sense of teamwork to those that need it most. Alison Cook Beatty Dance recently held a performance and lecture-demonstration at the Mayor Manning Walsh Home, something it has done for four consecutive years, sharing how dance is created, rehearsed, and refined, and with full audience participation. Key collaborations with local musicians who share this same passion for outreach helped make this event a truly special day for the residents.
