Dance Visions NY: male dancer needed for Isadora Duncan Repertory and original works of Beth Jucovy for performance season, NYC Dec. 12- 17 at University Settlement, Speyer Hall. (3 performance dates).
Dance Visions NY, a not-for -profit NY metropolitan area based company is looking for a musical, experienced, versatile and responsible male dancer for performances in December and possible further work with the company. We are looking for a dancer with good partnering skills, comfort with improvising, strong presence and excellent general technique. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain familiarity with the unique and invaluable Duncan dance technique and repertory, to be a innovator (as a male dancer)  within the aesthetic, and also experience how the principles can be used in contemporary work. Dancers of all ethnicities are encouraged to apply. Compensation, fee TBD. Rehearsals are usually held in Queens and in Manhattan, week-end days with the company and possibly some weekdays to catch up on repertory.  If interested in this work, feel you are a good fit, and can commit to this program please contact and send resume, head and dance photo and short video footage immediately to dancevisions.ny@gmail.com.
