Awaken Dance Theater Seeking Male Dancers

Awaken Dance Theater is seeking male dancers for our upcoming Fall 2017-Spring 2018 season. Dancers of all races and ethnicities encouraged to apply.  Dancers should be currently living in NYC.

Dancers should be very strong in classical ballet, but also versatile.  Awaken Dance Theater uses contemporary,  jazz, horton, and graham-based modern from time to time.  Expressive dancers with a strong performance qualitiy and acting ability preferred.

Awaken Dance Theater aims to create works with social and political purpose.  We will be performing at numerous venues in and around NYC.  Modest stipend is given for select performance opportunities only.  Dancers must be available for Sunday evening rehearsals. (approximately 6-10pm). 

Interested male dancers should send their resume, headshot,  1-2 dance photographs,  and a video reel (if available)  to awakendancetheater@gmail.com. Select dancers will then be contacted about attending rehearsal as an audition to determine eligibility for the company.
