JOB TITLE: Part-time Children’s Ballet Faculty for ages 3 - 10

REPORTS TO: Executive Artistic Director

LOCATION: Bethpage, NY

POSITION DATE: Sept 2017

As a part-time employee, work week consists of no more than 8 hours per week for a total of 36-38 weeks (not including summer classes) per year.

The Faculty serve as ambassadors for the academy at Eglevsky Ballet, ensuring positive communication and interaction with all students, parents, teachers and all other constituents. This individual will fulfill their role by positively implementing curriculum and marketing the school and its programs by: following the school syllabus with consistency and enthusiasm, demonstrating a concern for all students without favoritism, and providing the highest quality and level of professional training while nurturing the love and appreciation of this art form.

FACULTY RESPONSIBILTIES

Teach assigned classes consistent with designed curriculum.
Class preparation and daily communication with school and EB staff.
Stage, choreograph or rehearse assigned repertoire for student presentations/performances as needed and assigned.
Attend all faculty meetings, curriculum meetings and teacher training seminars as scheduled.
Be available for student/parent conferences when needed.
Prepare written evaluations for students at year end.
Perform all other duties appropriate to faculty as requested.
Make yourself available for promotional events including, but not limited to, radio, television, and newspaper interviews, including the taking of, and use of, photos for publicity purposes. And allow the use of your name and title in printed and other materials.
