About Us:

House of the Roses offers homeless and at-risk children free weekly on-site dance workshops at partner outreach facilities, such as homeless shelters and community centers.  We also provide the children and our teaching artists with performance opportunities at various locations, ending with a huge dance concert celebrating the success of the past year. We are looking for dancers who love to teach, and have a free hour or two every week (weeknight evenings) to visit an outreach facility with a team of other volunteers to work with the kids. Every week, you will see the kids take steps big and small, towards creative freedom and expression. You will also receive monthly training in dance and teaching techniques from our staff of qualified and experienced lead teachers. You will be in the company of other committed, energetic and talented dancers who all want to make a positive impact on children's lives. We hope to meet you this weekend!
