Submissions are now open for Leg Up On Life's Spoken Word Gala. Taking place on January 22nd, 2018 the Gala will be an evening with two performances of dance to spoken word/poetry. Leg Up On Life's initiative is to provide a platform for choreographers to present work to the public with little to no costs. This event will be a free performance opportunity and will provide the choreographer with footage of the two performances. The Spoken Word Gala will take place at the Alchemical Studios seating 60 people in their intimate Theatre space. Pieces can include up to a MAX of 5 dancers. Work cannot exceed 5 minutes. When submitting include footage of past work/of dance in the style you will be bringing to the Gala. Submissions are being taken October 1st - October 30th. No late submissions will be considered.
