Collaborate with Thea Little on an Evening-Length work to be performed in April at CPR - Center for Performance Research

2 hour Nomadic Work: Sunset on the Roof of 100 Bogart, hosted by Chez Bushwick for BOS Julia Discenza

Thea Little, choreographer, performer, music composer, musician, and director is looking for additional dancers and performers to join her cast. She is holding an audition on Tuesday January 30 from 1-5pm. Call back will be on Thursday February 1 from 10-2pm. Make sure to be available for the call back in case you are invited. See below for set rehearsal and performance dates. Please come to the audition only if you can make those set rehearsal and performance times.

Thea is looking for a diverse group of bold and unique dancers and performers who have a clear presence, are theatrical yet honest, make clear and distinctive choices, and are not afraid to be silly and weird. This will be the 4th evolution of the work that started with a solo Successful Thea performed, expanding into a group 2-hour Nomadic Work in September and then into a very recent performance, Miss - Communication, a 40-minute work presented in an art gallery. We will be creating, collaborating, deepening and developing towards an Evening-Length Dance-Theater/Performance Art work to be performed at CPR - Center for Performance Research on April 26 and 27 2018. The finished piece will be 50-60 minutes.

Dancers and performers will be exploring characterizations, gestures, vocal sounds, and facial expressions. A big plus is if the performer can sing in key and hold melodies with other notes being sung. It is not necessary to be formally trained in music! Dancers and performers must be also interested in learning set choreography and song composition as well as being experienced in improvisation with movement, text, and song.

Rehearsals will be twice a week for 12 weeks and will begin promptly after the call back on Tuesday February 6. Rehearsals will be from February 6 to April 24th.

Tuesdays: 6-10pm

Thursdays:10-2pm

These rehearsals are set in stone!
