Urbanity Dance is seeking male and female dancers with diverse movement backgrounds and a variety of skills for the 2018-2019 Professional Company.

The audition works as a class, and includes ballet tends, pirouettes, a modern release combo, leaps across the floor, improvisation exercises and a final combination. The combo will highlight Urbanity's style, weaving fluid release "gooey" technique, with the ability to fiercely hit notes of choreography with specificity and attack. Pay for the the season is $4,000-$7,000, plus a $50 monthly health reimbursement. Dancers also receive opportunities to work with nationally recognized choreographers; choreograph and produce their own work, with choreographic mentorship from Boston veterans; build a photo/video portfolio and work with professional photographers; and tour with shows. 

Company classes and rehearsals are January through May on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays from 10am-2pm.
