Call for Movement Artists and Choreographers (accepting on a rolling basis)

Sans Limites Dance Image Design by Henry Chenevert

Sans Limites Movement Festival -- running from May 16th - 20th, 2018 at Hudson Guild Theater-- will celebrate 5 years of producing Movement Artists & Choreographers in New York City.

Inspired by the Duncan quote, "You were once wild here, don't let them tame you", Sans Limites Movement Festival showcases a wide array of works ranging from works that depict and preserve traditional dance forms to rebellious/non-conformist movement works that contribute to the ever-evolving art form of Modern Dance.

Already participating in this opportunity are resident artists Diana of Sans Limites and Susanne McHugh of Sans Limites -- in addition to returning artists Rebecca McCormac of CoreDance Contemporary, Jillian Davis of Jillian Davis Dance Project, Joe Monteleone of Monteleone Dance, Jessica Ray of Dance into Deliverance, Brit Falcon of Falcon Dance, Laura Henry of Impact Dance Collective and Gina Montalto. Artists making their Sans Limites Movement Festival debut include Candace Tabbs, Blair Hotchner, Emily Wolfe, Jade Salzano, Naomi Alcantara, Jiyon Song, Atlanta Dance Collective, Ashley Lynne Stafford, Jessie Sector, Gianina Casale and Louis DeVaughn Nelson.

We are currently accepting 7-10 more works to be presented in our approaching production. We will accept artists on a rolling basis with an official deadline of March 20th. Artists not accepted into the approaching season will be considered for future opportunities.

At a nominal cost ($200), Sans Limites will produce the works of Movement Artists and Choreographers -- providing them with 1 formal performance opportunity (to present 4 - 15min of work) with technical rehearsal, marketing of your participation in festival, technical rehearsal with Stage Manger and professional Light Designer, photoshoot at Tech Rehearsal, Box Office Services (+20% of tickets you pre-sell online; we keep records) and video of your work (it will be filmed at your performance).
