EtM Choreographer  + Composer Residencies (in partnership with Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning JCAL) provides four choreographer/composer teams (eight artists total) with free rehearsal and workspace for a three-month period. Artists may start their residencies in October 2018 or January 2019. Both choreographer and composer need to be NYC residence of have work extensively in Queens, NY. 

This year we have opened this residency to dance collectives, collaborative choreography groups, or small dance companies are also welcome to apply to this program but will only receive one stipend per application to distribute at their discretion. This residency is open to choreographers working in all genres of dance, including, but not limited to: experimental/contemporary, modern, ballet, jazz, hip hop, musical theatre, and folk/world.

The artist team will have the space to develop new work. Each team is required to give one free public program in coordination with JCAL.  Each artist will receive a stipend of $1,500, plus an additional stipend on completion of the public program.
