WHAT: Audition/Playdate | Opportunity for non-U.S. born immigrant women trained dancers

WHEN: Saturday, May 19, 6:30-8pm

WHERE: Gibney Dance, 280 Broadway, NY NY 10007

IMPORTANT INFO:

    •    non-U.S. born immigrant women dancers

    •    responsible work ethic/punctual/committed

    •    fluid spine/flexible/long extensions

    •    must be in the U.S. continuously June 1 - August 30

 

SYNOPSIS: This audition precedes a six dancer interdisciplinary production surrounding themes of immigration, family estrangement, severed cultural ties, loss of identity, and the limited options one faces as a consequence of immigration status. It includes movement/dance, text, music, and illustration, and it will take place at Gibney Dance Theatre on August 30.
