INSITU Site-Specific Dance Festival is looking for two dedicated interns/associates to join our team by June 1st for this year's festival to take place on August 4 + 5 2018.

| WHO WE ARE:

INSITU is a unique two-day site-specific dance festival featuring 24 choreographers who present new, site-specific works in four public parks along the Long Island City waterfront.  Through free outdoor dance performances and community workshops, INSITU encourages residents and audiences to discover LIC through dance and strengthen community bonds.

In its inaugural year, INSITU 2017 was named as one of the “24 Outdoor Performances to See in the Summer” by The New York Times. We presented 75 cutting edge site-specific dance premieres by 24 emerging and established NYC-based choreographers. Over 7,500 audience members from all over NYC and the tri-state area journeyed up and down the LIC waterfront from Hunters Point South Park to Socrates Sculpture Park. Leading up to the festival, we engaged an amazing group of community members in a free three-month INSITU Community Dance Workshop hosted in partnership with Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement.

INSITU 2018 will be presented for a second year on August 4 + 5 and features premieres of local, national and international choreographers, a total of 160 performances and 36 community dance workshops, all free to the public in four LIC waterfront parks.
