Spark seeking Dancers for 1984

Spark Movement Collective (Spark) seeks 3 well-rounded, athletic dancers with a background in modern and ballet for its performances of 1984 on November 8, 9, and 10 at the Secret Theatre. Spark is looking for dancers with strong stage presence, clean technique, precise movement, and the ability to give creative input while picking up steps quickly. To apply to attend audition the evening of Monday, June 11 please email your resume, headshot, and a link to dance footage to Chelsea Koenig at chelsea@sparkmovementcollective.org. Dancers must be able to attend the audition.

Rehearsals are regularly held on Mondays from 6:30-9:30pm with one additional weekly rehearsal scheduled around dancer and studio availability. Dancers must be available to perform on November 8, 9, and 10 at the Secret Theatre, with the flexibility to attend Behind-the-Scenes event in October (potential dates are October 3 or 17).

Spark’s mission is to create an accessible dance experience by approaching universal concepts and issues, working with multi-disciplinary artists, and fostering a positive, creative environment for dancers. To learn more about Spark visit www.sparkmovementcollective.org.

Dancers will receive a stipend for participating in performances. The base payment for the weekend of performances is $150. If selected dancers are asked to stay on with Spark, their stipend increases each year they dance with Spark.
