Ballet Hispanico Special Events Volunteer

Help Ballet Hispanico celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month by volunteering at our A La Calle Block Party on September 16th from 12 pm - 4 pm. The block party will be located on West 89th Street (between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues) in Manhattan.

It will be a festive afternoon of performances from our Company, BHdos, and the School of Dance, as well as free dance classes, activities for children, a band, DJ, food vendors, community tables, and a raffle.

Volunteer tasks include (but are not limited to): set-up, clean-up, community table liaison, photo booth assistant, crowd control, handing out flyers, and working the merch and raffle tables.

We are looking for volunteers for two shifts:

Shift #1: 11 am – 2 pm

Shift #2: 2 pm – 5 pm

After the block party, there will be future volunteer opportunities at The Arnhold Center at Ballet Hispanico and at our Company's New York Season performances.

If you are interested, please email Ashley Heckstall, Event Manager, at aheckstall@ballethispanico.org.
