OF BONES || HOLLYE BYNUM seeks live-performance and dance film works as well as gallery installation submissions for the sixth annual mouthfull..

mouthfull., an evening of dance curated by Director and Founder for OB || HB, Hollye Bynum,  provides an opportunity for selected emerging and/or established choreographers, filmmakers, and installation artists (photographers, musicians, actors, movers, etc.) to present work to an eclectic audience. mouthfull. will take place at Center for Performance Research in Brooklyn, NY on November 3rd and 4th. Technical rehearsals will occur on November 3rd for all works. Presenting artists will have the opportunity to work one on one with a Technical Director, will receive 3 edited high-quality performance images (with the option to purchase more), and video of the performance.

Past Participating Artists Include: Mike Esperanza, The Dash Ensemble, Cesar Brodermann, Kayla Farrish, NOW Dance Project, Andrea Ward, Dante Brown | Warehouse Dance, Nicolla Hepp, Depth Dance, Jenna Masiechko, Wilder Project, Catie Leasca, and more.

There is an application fee of $15. If selected, a production fee is due one week post notification - $60 for live-performance work and $25 for dance film. 

Requirements for Gallery Installations:

- Looking for photography, movement, music, immersive performance submissions for the mouthfull. lobby

- Must be available for both evenings

- Ideas that are creative, transform the space, and involve the audience are encouraged

*There will be a ticket table, concessions table, and information table in the space.

There are multiple tvs and a projector available. Walls may not be punctured, if hanging work.

A drum kit is not prohibited, if submitting a musical act. 

 

Requirements for Live-Performance Work:

- Maximum length: 10 minutes

- Cast size: maximum 5 performers (solos, duets, and trios are encouraged)

- Finished works will be considered

*Video sample must be of proposed work. Non-continuous, manipulated, or heavily edited footage will not be considered.

 

Requirements for Dance Film:

- Maximum length: 10 minutes

*Films that push boundaries via film techniques, effects, and subject matter are encouraged and will be heavily considered. In short, looking for interesting, thought provoking films - not digital documentation of a choreographed work.
