Seeking Work Study Applicants

 

C O R E  M O T I O N is seeking a part time class coordinator as a part of the work study program. is a movement practice that expands the potential of embodiment through movement, meditation, action, voice and performance. It is conceived around these questions: "Where does movement comes from? How does it crystallize as language in life and performance? How does this process inform health?" Essentially, C O R E  M O T I O N is an experiential process that offers a contemplation, at large, of the impetus of action and movement as the internal and external fluxes of our organism, within both our immediate and our cosmic environments.  More info here: www.dariafain.net

This role of Class Coordinator involves providing support in marketing, schedule coordination, student management, online store management, and more. You will learn the in and outs of running a private teaching business in the healing arts, and creating curriculum and structure for a multi-year certification program.

This role is part-time, and is compensated with classes and workshops. There is no monetary payment. Commitment is minimum of 3 months, longer is possible if right fit, looking to start September 2018.

The position requires:

·  Good digital organization skills, use of Google Cloud services and Mailchimp, Square

·  Good social media skills including Facebook and Instagram

·  Good grasp of the English language

·  Willingness to learn

·  Interest in the performance/somatic arts community in NYC

An ideal candidate is someone who is interested in participating the somatic arts community in New York City and furthering their own studies of movement practices. Students of institutions accepting internship credit are encouraged to apply and discuss the possibility of receiving credit! There is no dance experience required.
