“Sex and Love” Somatic Practice Workshop at Pratt Institute
“Sex and Love” Somatic Practice Workshop at Pratt Institute
Jiang Feng a??a?? is a third-year student in Performance and Performance Studies MFA program at Pratt Institute. He has been cultivating his own somatic practice “Sex and Love” and has taught this practice in Taiwan and Germany. “Sex and Love” is intended to help people rethink and re-embody love, sex, sexuality and sensuality through movement and body awareness. The practice will facilitate a deconstruction of narrow ideas about sex and the codified bodies, and will enable the participants to be agentic and reflective about their own sexual experiences and practices in life. There will be discussion, solo, duo and group improvisation, meditation, and object exploration.
Six sessions: Starting the second to last week of September.
We will work around the participants' schedules. The participants are encouraged to attend all of the sessions.
