Rhythmically Speaking Seeks Choreographers

Kwame and Emily Dancing Bill Cameron

Rhythmically Speaking is a Twin Cities (MN)-based nonprofit with 10+ years of history supporting and presenting staged work inspired by jazz and American social dance ideas. We’re energetically launching into our second decade with new and reinvigorated programming, including a reimagining of our annual summer show that presents multiple choreographers! This program, titled The Cohort, will continue our support of choreographers local to the Twin Cities while expanding our support for out of town (“Touring”) choreographers, selected to set works on an auditioned group of Twin Cities dancers.

Out-of-town artists 21+ and at any point in their careers are welcomed to apply with an existing 15-22 minute work for eight dancers or less that is inspired by jazz or other American social dance ideas.
