Seeking Dancers for Physical Theatre Production on the theme of Dystopia

Seeking likeminded, strong dancers trained in contemporary dance and ballet for collaboration on a physical theatre project exploring the crossroads between Utopia and Dystopia.

all genders welcome

This is a non-profit production, and as such is an unpaid position. The goal is to gain exposure for all dancers involved to influential professionals in the field of physical theatre and dance.

Seeking dancers interested in questions on society and the Universe. I am looking to collect and reconstruct historical fragments to discuss and reflect the current humanity and progress of our society.

The idea of the production is to create a Dystopia world by creating characters representing a concept of “I am also we and we are also us” to discuss problems facing humanity.  To reflect the concept of ‘ I ‘ through the idea of ‘we’. Through the imagination of ‘we’ to investigate the relationship between individualism and totalitarianism. Does ‘I’ still exist in a ‘we’ utopia and do ‘ we’ still have jealousy, happiness and pain?

At the moment, I am in the devising stage of the concept of the production and will complete the whole production by May 2019.
