RudduR Dance seeks African American dancers
RudduR Dance Audition
Artistic Director Christopher Rudd is looking for male and female dancers of the African Diaspora for RudduRDance’s 2019 season and international tours. Dancers should have professional experience, excellent modern, ballet, and partnering technique. Aerial work is a plus but not required. Applicants should be prepared to work at a high technical and artistic level, be a responsible group member, and be open to working collaboratively with fellow artists.
Selfcare while attempting to reach the maximum potential of oneself as a performing artist is paramount. Applicants should be aware of the sensitive nature of the works and the psychological and physical demands of exploring and depicting them.
The Audition will be held as a 3 day invited rehearsal late-March. To be considered please send your resume, headshot and performance reel to Audition@RudduRDance.com. Selected applicants will receive confirmation and further details regarding time and location.
In order to fulfill this engagement you MUST be a US Citizen, a resident of New York City, a valid passport holder (or willing to purchase one) ideally expiring after 6/1/2020, willing to be vaccinated. In order to fulfill this engagement you MUST NOT be a student. Artists MUST be available for all rehearsals, performances, and tours beginning 4/15/2019 through 6/19/2020.
