Atlanta Dance Collective is seeking artists locally and nationally for a short term residency to create and set new work on the collective members for our 2020 season of performances. Following our mission of collaboration, ADC will use these residencies as an opportunity to build connections through the creative process of each choreographer, sharing in the Atlanta community through performance and open classes. Open to both emerging and established choroegraphers, this opportunity will provide a short, but intensive time to create amongst the thoughtful and engaging artists of ADC. Chosen choreographers will receive a $500 stipend (and travel stipend if applicable), as well as compensation for any teaching done while in residence. Residencies will take place in the fall of 2019, and will be subject to choreographer availability. While choreographers not based in Atlanta are welcome and encouraged to apply, please note that priority may be given to Atlanta-based choreographers.

Proposed new work for our 2020 season should fit under the title “raw” sharing notes of the gritty, undisguised, and bareness of human vulnerability.
