Artistic Director, Joyce King/JKing Dance Company (JKDramatiCreations, LLC) is requesting video submissions from Youth Ensembles and/or independent choreographers who are working with young emerging dancers for JKDC's 10 - year Anniversary performance. This performance will be held Saturday, October 26th at the James and Martha Duffy Performance Space/ Mark Morris Dance Center, in Brooklyn, NY.

WHO: Youth Ensembles/Groups and/or individual choreographers working with young emerging dancers.

WHAT: Decade of DANCE: A Halloween Celebration - JKDC's 10-year Anniversary Performance WHEN: Saturday, October 26th, 2019 - 7:30 p.m performance/reception follows.

WHERE: James & Martha Duffy Performance Space/Mark Morris Dance Center, 3 Lafayette Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11217, USA

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: 11:59 PM (PDT), Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019

ELIGIBILITY and requirements: This call is open to all Youth Ensembles/Groups and/or those independent choreographers working with young emerging dancers. * Choreographers can be any age. Dancers performing MUST be within the ages of 12 - 18. * Length of work: minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes * Work must be original choreography and NOT a work - in - progress. * Rehearsal footage is fine. Video must be of the completed work you would like to present in October.

At this performance, we are NOT able to accommodate works with live music, tap shoes, water, sand, glitter, feathers, fire, or large props(we do not have storage). If you have a question about props please email us at JKDCny@hotmail.com. JKDC is providing performance space only.

All choreographers are responsible for finding dancers, scheduling and paying for their own rehearsals, travel, music rights, etc.

FEES $15 submission fee paid through Paypal. You may submit up to (2) two videos. Each piece must have a separate application and fee. Work is not eligible until the fee is paid. Ensembles/groups and/or choreographers are responsible for their own music rights. There is NO production fee.

DETAILS - chosen work receives

* Tech/Performance at The James and Martha Duffy Performance Space - fully equipped with a sprung subfloor, covered with black marley, wings, and lights.
* Warm-up and Q & A with JKDC company members.
* Invite to JKDC reception * Video of your work

SELECTION PROCESS Applicants work will be viewed and selected by 3 - 4-panel members using the following criteria: *Originality, artistry, and conceptual clarity of storyline, character development and/or intent of proposed work. *Demonstrated technique and accessibility.

NOTIFICATION OF RESULTS All applicants will be notified of the status of their application by Monday, August 12th, 2019 or sooner. Ensemble awarded the opportunity will have (1) week to confirm participation. QUESTIONS? If you have any questions, please contact us at JKDCny@hotmail.com
