Seeking Skilled/Technical Dancers for "FLIGHT"

Dancer (Ensemble): Males, Females, Transgender, ages 24-40

Seeking 3 experienced, versatile and technical New York-based dance artists with solid foundations in forms such as classical ballet, modern/contemporary dance, with skills in martial arts, urban vernacular dance, Asian or African dance forms, and ability to improvise.

For 8 performances of "FLIGHT: torn like a rose", a new Afro-Asian fusion dance performance, inspired by Attar's 12th century Persian poem about the dangerous flight of the world's birds searching for the Rose of Love, ending with an unexpected twist.

Dancers who are responsible and on-time only.

NY Auditions/call-backs July 23-24, NY rehearsals from July 23-30 & weekends in August through October; rehearsals, tech & performances Oct 17 through Oct 22.

5 performances at Kumble Theater, Brooklyn, NY, Oct 20-21-22

3 performances at H’Doubler Theater, Madison, WI, Oct 31, Nov. 1-2

Bring to the audition--hard copy of headshot, bio, schedule information from July 23 through November 3, 2019. Must be on time and warmed-up to audition. Dancers will learn and perform a short dance sequence and will perform improvisation. Prepare a one-minute dance sequence that demonstrates your expertise.
