Open Call for Chase Brock's The Four Seasons

 

Seeking dancers and swings for “The Four Seasons,” a revival of Chase Brock’s 2008 climate change-tinged contemporary dance theater piece using the Vivaldi music and commissioned text by playwright David Zellnik.

 

Dynamic, versatile dancer/actors of all shapes/sizes/types/identities, ages 18-50, who are well versed in modern, ballet and jazz, and who have a strong sense of musicality in their dancing, as well as the ability to play comedy and drama.

 

OPEN CALL: Thursday October 3 at 11am at Ballet Hispanico, 167 W 89th St, New York, NY 10024. We will be dancing a variety of material, so please be prepared to dance ballet and contemporary styles and please bring ballet shoes as well as pictures and resumes, stapled together. We will bring dancers into the room in groups no larger than 60, starting at 11am and continuing until all have been seen (ending no later than 5pm).

Rehearsals are November 7-10 and 14-16 at Modern Accord Depot in Accord, NY, and tech is November 19-21 at Theatre Row, with 21 performances November 21-December 8 in Theatre 4 at Theatre Row.

 

Rehearsal and performance pay as well as travel, housing and per diem during the rehearsal periods.
