Presenting a 15min excerpt of work (later to be fully developed into an evening length piece) at Movement Research’s Open Performance series, Arts on Site, and a choreographic showcase at Mark Morris. ATTN: Must be available September 17th for MR presentation, other performance dates are TBA; open/ flexible availability is much appreciated!

Body of work explores the congruent themes within Aristophanes’ speech on Eros noted in Plato’s Symposium and Erich Fromm’s The Art of Loving; the multiple ways that Love can manifest within the human experience and the varying degrees to which it can be achieved (I.e. familial love, platonic love, intimate love, Love of self, and the mutual exclusivity of each or lack thereof).

In need of a male dancer with contemporary/ modern background (Simonson specifically but not necessary). Must be comfortable with partial nudity, as it reflects the transparency of the work, and covenying themes/ stories specific to the LGBTQIA+ experience.
