WHITE WAVE is looking Volunteers for upcoming 2019 DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL

Do you love dance? Are you interested in learning about arts management?

Volunteers for WHITE WAVE is a great opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of a vibrant NY dance company in the non-profit sector.

WHITE WAVE is looking for individuals who are, first and foremost, interested in the NYC dance community. Having a courteous demeanor is important in order to work well with staff, artists and the general public.

WHITE WAVE Dance Brief Overview:

Formed in 1988, WHITE WAVE Dance is a non-profit arts organization whose main goal is to be a catalyst for change in the NY dance scene. From its full-length dance productions to dance education and outreach, WHITE WAVE accomplishes its mission by providing opportunities for dancers and choreographers to create, rehearse, perform and network with each other, engaging in an ongoing dialogue that pushes the art form forward.

Activities:

WHITE WAVE is looking Volunteers for upcoming 2019 DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL. Volunteers will have a unique opportunity to assist in various aspects of the pre-production of WHITE WAVE Dance's upcoming 2019 DUMBO Dance Festival:

- 19th Annual DUMBO Dance Festival (October 10th-13th, 2019) at Gelsey Kirkland ArtsCenter

Their tasks will include, but are not limited to

* Assisting in marketing and PR activities such as social media outreach and online marketing

* Assist Artistic director during the rehearsals and performances at the theater

* Helping the Gala Opening Night (Oct. 10th) Party preparation

* Arranging audiences and cleaning up the theater

The volunteer schedule is flexible within festival period (October 10 to 13, 2019)
