“DANCE ON THE LAWN," MONTCLAIR'S DANCE FESTIVAL IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2020 “EMERGING COMMISSIONED NEW JERSEY CHOREOGRAPHER”

Qualifications:

Each “Emerging Commissioned New Jersey Choreographer” (ECNJC) must be a confirmed resident of New Jersey and a professional choreographer with at least two years’ experience presenting work in a public venue.

Notification:

The ECNJC will be announced, January 17, 2020

Responsibilities:

The ECNJC will participate in the “Open Rehearsal” and show a work-in-progress of the commissioned work- TBA April or May 2020.  

The showing is open to the public and ends with a question and answer with the choreographer and dancers.  The recipient will be mentored throughout the process by a NJ professional choreographer.

The  recipient(s) will show a finished version of the new work at the 2020 "Dance on the Lawn" event, Saturday, September 12th at St. Luke's Episcopal Church front lawn, Montclair, NJ
