Dancing Classrooms Teaching Artists Auditions, October 11th
Dancing Classrooms New York City will hold Teaching Artist auditions Friday, October 11th, 2:00pm - 5:00pm. Candidates must be available to attend an intensive (unpaid) training from November 18th - 22nd (five days of 8-hour/day training), and make a solid commitment to sequestial ten-week residencies, two to four days per week in schools, scheduled between the hours of 8am and 3pm, September - June. (Training commitment is non-negotiable, so please do not apply if you are unable to attend the training.)

Dancing Classrooms Teaching Artists are: dancers, actors, individuals who can move with rhythm; have excellent interpersonal skills; love kids; able to work in a team; have a generous spirit, a sense of humor, language, and rhythm; and a willingness to travel within NYC's five boroughs. Those hired will be fingerprinted with the NYC Dept of Education.
The Dancing Classrooms program is a social development and arts-in-education program teaching ballroom dance to children during their school day. Our mission is to cultivate essential life skills in children through the art of social dance.
