Start Teaching in March, 2020!
Dancing Classrooms (DC) cultivates essential life stills in children through the joyful art and practice of social dance. Made famous by the popular 2005 documentary film, “Mad Hot Ballroom,” DC’s standards based in-school residencies help build the foundation for a lifetime of character and leadership. DC partners with over 150 NYC schools, serving about 17,000 students annually. In just 10 weeks, students learn 6 dances, showcase their learning at the end of the residency, have the opportunity to compete as a team with students from all over NYC, and learn social-emotional skills such as collaboration, grit, respect, listening, and self-control.
Be a part of the excitement and develop your own skills by joining our Teaching Artist team!
