Performers Wanted For WINTER FOLLIES 2022

PERFORMERS WANTED: WINTER FOLLIES 2022 David Kumin

Spoke's the Hub's annual WINTER FOLLIES is a performance marathon that features the group and solo work work of performing artists of all ages and genres.  This year, it will be presented live and online February 4-6, 2022.

YOU MIGHT SHOW A SPANKING new work-in-progress, or something old and beloved from yourrepertory. Maybe even something improvisational?   We welcome work that is wildlyexperimental as well as work that comes out of a well-honed tradition. Could be a solo or groupwork. Whatever you choose to present, however, think minimal (read "zero") additional set-up and/or strike time. Your 5 minutes includes walking on, performing, and then clearing off. Everything else is fair game...

At the end of each show, the audience votes for the artist or group that they would like to see awhole evening production of next year. The "People's Choice" grand prize winner at the end ofthe weekend will receive 50 hours of free rehearsal space and a full weekend production at the"new" Gowanus Arts Annex in the Fall of 2022. (Additionally, many Winter Follies artists are often invited to perform at other Spoke gigs in the Spring, including the annual Local Produce Festival.)
