YYDC Summer Intensive + Audition 

Get a closer look of artistic director and choreographer Yin Yue's signature FoCo Technique training, in depth study of the repertoire, experience the creative process and an opportunity to audition for the upcoming evening length creation Citizen II in the summer 2020. 

The Summer Intensive + Audition will be hosted at Mark Morris Dance Center Cole Studio from June 28th to July 2nd with training hour from 10am to 5pm. The daily FoCo Technique training and creative process will be taught and choreographed by artistic director Yin Yue and repertoire(s) study will be taught by the company's rehearsal director Grace Whitworth. The fee for the week long Summer Intensive + Audition is $450 (there is no additional fee for audition) and selected candidates will receive a link to register for the session via email. 

YYDC is looking for highly skilled, experienced and mature movement oriented performers for the creation of an evening length dance production and future projects. The candidates shall demonstrate strong ballet foundation and versatile contemporary technique as well as being open and inclusive in creative process toward artistic suggestion and direction. If you wish to apply for the audition, please submit the follow material before March 1st:

-One page resume: listing your previous performance and training experience 

-One headshot: please select the most recent and relevant photo

-One video that matches the following requirements: A: uploading the video clip via Vimeo or Youtube. B: 2 min maximum in length demonstrating your movement quality. C: please indicate who you are in the video if you are submitting ensemble work. D: Please reference the company’s style if you choose to send improvisation work.

Decision will be notified via email with the link to register no later than the end of March, 2020. Candidates MUST BE available to attend rehearsals scheduled from Monday to Friday with time ranging between 1pm to 6pm starting on July 20th; two-week creative residency in Colorado; other scheduled artistic activities from Aug 2nd to Oct 3rd, 2020.

*The company will offer hourly rehearsal fee and performance fee
