Teaching Artist with Students

WR Arts provides quality performing arts education in a safe and supportive environment throughout the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area in afternoon programs including In School & Studio settings.

We are currently seeking a Movement Teaching Artist with Int-Adv Spanish Language skills. We’re looking to bring on an engaging instructor that can create and teach introductory Spanish to students ages 4-10 through the use of movement, music, games & more. Ideal applicants should have a dance background and be comfortable teaching in a Public School setting to children ages 4-10. We are looking for self motivated, committed educators and artists who have the ability to adapt lesson plans to the classroom setting. As a growing organization, we are seeking Teaching Artists looking to grow within our company. Opportunities for subbing and assisting are also avaiable throughout the week.

Applicants must be available to be in Greenpoint, BK from 2:15-5:15pm on Thursdays.

The position is immediate through June 19th with the potential of being considered for the Fall & Spring 2020/21 session.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Compensation: $15 per hour assisting, $30 per hour of teaching.

Our teaching artists are Independent Contractors of WR Arts, and are not considered employees. Teaching Artists are paid through 1099 and required to pay their own self-employment taxes. Additionally, contractors are ineligible for unemployment, health, or transportation benefits through WR Arts.
